Welcome to my Manga Picks — a collection of the volumes, series, and haunted paperbacks that have emotionally wrecked me (in the best way).

Whether you’re in the mood for creepy spirals, dystopian chaos, or soft sadness, these are the stories that have earned a permanent spot on my overgrown shelf.

Horror & Psychological Chaos

Should’ve titled this “Junji Ito’s Works” LOL

If it haunts your brain, makes you afraid of shadows, or contains suspicious spirals… it goes here.

These are my go-to reads for beautifully drawn nightmares, existential dread, and emotional damage wrapped in great panel work.

Dystopian & Action Madness

The vibes: survival horror, secret identities, monsters, and morally questionable decisions under pressure.

Fast-paced, chaotic, sometimes messy, always addictive.

These are first volumes that will get you hooked (you’re welcome and I’m sorry).

Aesthetic Weirdness & Soft Chaos

Still emotionally scarring, but make it beautiful.

These are the quieter reads—strange, dreamy, sad, or just… off in a way I can’t explain but totally love.

(All of these are also first volumes, except for Goodbye, Eri)

Heads up: Every manga link here goes through Bookshop.org, because supporting indie bookstores feels way better than spiraling deeper into corporate chaos. Plus, you get amazing manga and help cozy bookstores thrive; total win-win.

Shelf still growing. Manga still emotionally wrecking me. It’s fine.

If you want more chaos, you can always dive into my blog for reviews, plant pairings, and snacks to cry over.
